Well here it is!

I finished them! Hooray! And just in time too, since I'm heading back to TO on Friday for Christmas, and they really needed to be done before then. This is the second painting I did of my Mom, since the first one really didn't look any good after I was done my Dad's! But I think they turned out pretty darn good, if I do say so myself. I'm pretty sure she's going to cry, so that should be fun ;)

Dave at work also gave me a good idea! I'm going to print out the roughs (smaller than the paintings) and give them to my parents as well. I think they'll really like that too.



This is them both together, to give you an idea of what they'll look like on a wall!

Hello everyone!

Well, I'm sure you are all dying to know what is going on with those paintings for my parents, and I am here to update you!! I am (I think) done my Dad's portrait! AND, get this, I did it this weekend! The whole painting of it. So I'm a little happy with myself! I think I've refined the technique I was going for, making all the mistakes with my Mom's portrait (which I started first, and am still not done). So now it's back to Mom's to see if it'll turn out as good as my Dad's.

I'm painting portraits of my parents for Christmas. And "ssshhhhhhhhhhhh" if you talk to them becaues it's a surprise! So today I finally drew them and figured out the angles and got the linework done. Next step is transferring them to the canvases and then paint! I'm planning on doing them in oil, I've only done one other oil painting and it turned out lovely if I do say so myself, so I have high hopes for these too!

They are going to be on two separate canvases, so you can hang them side by side so my dad and mom are looking at each other. (hahah obviously!) The canvases are 9x12, so not too big, but I have to get working on them to get them done for Christmas! Erin gave me a duedate for when she wants to see the line work on the canvas, and that date is next Sunday, so I think I'm doing well! Here, take a look:

Hello all!

Long time no talk! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and ate lots of turkey and pie. I sure did! I went up to the family cottage, and I didn't get to do any drawing but I DID get to do a little photography! I was playing around with my digital camera, and I finally figured out some settings I've been meaning to learn so it was exciting and I took LOTS of pics of leaves and nature and the like. So I'm gonna post those instead for you, hope you like!






I'm pretty sure this is my fav one, not too sure why, composition for sure, colour, and i just really like maple leaves! hehe






I also really like this one! My dad is all into making these rock formations, this is a close up of one. He finds rocks and gets one to stand on another, it looks pretty cool I must say. And trust me, alot harder than it seems!

Wow, it's been a while since I posted anything on here! I guess I could say that I've been busy with work and things like that, but the TRUTH is that I had to watch season 2 of Grey's Anatomy with Kim and Geoff before season 3 premiered this week!! Hahah, yes I know, lame, but what can I say? It is the best show out there, and a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

So anywho, yes, art! I was debating what to put up here tonight, and I decided on these nemo drawings. They're also not very new, alas, but I promise I will be getting around to drawing or painting something TOMORROW! And I will put it up tomorrow night for you! I did these back in the winter, just fooling around with Photoshop and colour. I absolutely love colour, and I'm actually going to be helping some friends with painting bg's for their independents this year. Which I'm really really looking forward to! So I better get into painting mode and quick!

Hello! So I decided to post some more stuff on here, I'm actually getting really excited about all this, so yay! These are the stages that I went through to design a pisces tattoo for a friend from home. I'm pretty sure you can see the progression, and if you can't, well then, too bad for you! Yeah so take a look:
